The next edition of the Stanford University report in collaboration with Elsevier publishing, which assesses the output of scholars according to a bibliometric index, has been released. This prestigious list once again includes Prof. Dr. Eng. Urszula Domańska-Zelazna, Area Leader in the Chemical Technology Research Group – Lukasiewicz – ICI.

Prof. Dr. Eng. Urszula Domańska-Żelazna conducts experimental and theoretical work in the field of thermodynamics of phase equilibria and physicochemical properties of molecular liquids, ionic liquids, hyper-branched polymers, aromatic substances and drugs. He also works on the topics of extraction of metals from waste, development of mathematical models describing physicochemical phenomena and extraction and separation.

Her body of work boasts a total of 420 publications, six monographs and chapters in books. Between 2004 and 2024, she has published 286 papers in the field of ionic liquids. She has seven patent applications in the field of extraction (2018-2024); 314 conference presentations, including invited lectures (New York, Philadelphia, Delhi, Honolulu, Metz, Durban, Poznan, Sao-Pedro, Szczyrk, Samara, Colorado Springs, Czestochowa, Moscow, Tours, Drakensberg, Sitges).

From 1968 to 2017, she was an academic teacher at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Warsaw University of Technology. To date, she has promoted 23 PhDs and 53 masters and engineers.

According to Web of Science (September 2024) for 392 publications he has a total of 13,552 citations of published papers, H index = 63.

She is a laureate of the Wojciech Świętosławski Award, the Jędrzej Śniadecki Medal (PTChem) and the ‘Wprost Eagles for Science’ Award in the field of chemical sciences of the Wprost weekly.
