The GEP Gender Equality Plan is expected to influence the creation of an even better working environment, prevent career slowdowns, especially for women who want to combine work with non-work life and raising children.
The gender equality plan for the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Chemistry Institute is designed to counteract discrimination against employees on the basis of gender and any factors related to it, such as marital and family status, upbringing and childcare, and to guarantee both genders the same conditions for development, giving them the opportunity to choose different career paths without valuing them.

HR EXCELLENCE IN RESEARCH
HR strategy
Łukasiewicz – Industrial Chemistry Institute recognises the significant impact of the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers on ensuring a high quality working environment and scientific research. The Institute began the process of implementing the provisions of the Code and the Charter by making a declaration of support for the principles contained in these documents on 4 May 2015.
Following an external evaluation of the Institute’s HR Strategy for Researchers, on 16 December 2016. European Commission forwarded the decision to award the Institute of Industrial Chemistry the HR Excellence in Research Logo.
Łukasiewicz – ICI is the third research institute in Poland to be granted the right to use it.
