The Cluster of New Medical Technologies gained new members today (18 VI 2024) – Institutes from the Łukasiewicz Research Network, including Łukasiewicz – ICI. The signing ceremony took place during the Cluster workshop ‘Science – Business: Innovation in Medicine and Health’. The event was an opportunity to present solutions ready for commercialisation.
Active coatings for medical devices, a teleinformatics system for interactive health monitoring, a biotechnology-derived biopolymer of pharmaceutical purity or a portable tuberculosis detector… Will these be the solutions that ultimately become market breakthrough products? Thanks to cooperation within the organisation, these chances will certainly increase.
Łukasiewicz – ICI, Łukasiewicz – KIT, Łukasiewicz – ŁIT, Łukasiewicz – ICiMB and Łukasiewicz – PIT joined the Cluster. Our Institute was represented by Jolanta Janiszewska, Ph.D. Sc. Eng., Head of the Pharmacy, Cosmetic Chemistry and Biotechnology Research Group (pictured right). During the workshop, she presented a solution: a biopolymer of pharmaceutical purity obtained in the E. coli bacterial system.
The workshop and ceremony took place at the premises of the CEZAMAT Centre for Advanced Technologies of the Warsaw University of Technology.
